Q: What kind of gas mileage does a Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor get?
I’m thinking about getting a Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and was just wondering what they get for mileage with the 4.6L V8. It has to be better than what my truck is getting so that’s why I’m looking at a CVPI.
A: From a low of 13 in town to a high of 23 on the freeway..
Q: How much does it cost to make a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria LX badass?
How much do you think it would cost to have a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria LX turned into an amazing car?
A: For a nine year old car it would cost more than the car was worth. It would ONLY be worth the expense if you planned on keeping it for a LONG time.
Q: My 2002 Ford Crown Victoria does not have seatbelts for the back seats help?
I was wondering if a Ford Dealership would have seatbelts for a 2002 Ford Crown Victoria in stock? What is you’re guess? Or is there another place I can find them, I need them asap but dealership is closed now due to night any advice appreciated.
Thx in advance
It is a former police car they must of removed them for some reason it has the ones on the let and right but not the thing it clips into..
A: In general, seat belts are not usually kept in stock at the dealers, due to the many different colours available, as well as vehicle applications. Being a 2002 Crown Victoria, I would be hard pressed to believe it doesn’t have seat belts for the rear seat passengers, unless they were removed. You will need to have them ordered. When ordering, you will need to provide interior trim code information to get the correct ones ordered. Hope this helps.
Q: My car is ford crown victoria 2007 and the the trunk is not open by using the remote control.. Please help?
My car is ford crown victoria 2007 and the the trunk is not open by using the remote control .. All doors are working fine.
Please help?
A: I’m not familiar w/ Fords, however, many makes feature a “Valet switch”, it allows the items to stay “safe” in your trunk if you drop off the car to someone. Its normally a button you push on/off. Maybe you have one & unknowingly engaged it? Check in your glove box and/or center console.
Q: Why few people buy the Ford Crown Victoria?
I don’t know why Ford Crown Victoria is more used in fleets such as taxis and police cars and few people buy. I think this car is considered to be a luxury executive sedan car.
A: i love the crown vic, dont get me wrong, the TERRIBLE depreciation is good for me so i can buy lots of used ones cheap, not so good to a showroom buyer, and when there is a merc and lincoln option for only a few grand extra who would buy the ford except cops and cabbies?
they are nice cars though, and when you swap in a dohc4.6 and some of the other parts from a cobra you have quite the sleeper there.
Q: How much would you buy a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria?
How much would you buy a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria it has 150,000 with new paint job?
A: Probably about $1500
What’s the KBB?
Q: What kind of exhaust can be put on a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria?
I have a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria with the P71 police interceptor package and want a little bit louder exhaust. I don’t want obnoxiously loud or headache inducing. I just want something with a little more rumble than the current exhaust. I was thinking mercury Marauder pipes but haven’t found anything that would let me know if they would work and what year models would even work. Any help would be nice.
A: I don’t know if anyone makes headers for your Crown Vic.Google headers for your car and see.You can go to a true dual exhaust system.Cut the pipe @ the Y.Run two seperate pipes into an X pipe, from the X run the pipes into two mufflers, then run the pipes over the axle all the way out the back into a set of very tasteful polished or stainless tips. You can get an X pipe on e-bay for about $75.00. The mufflers are a personal choice.Flowmaster,Magnaflow,SLP all make excellent mufflers for your ride, you can get them on e-bay also. The true dual exhaust will free up hp and the X and mufflers will give your ride a nice deep throaty tone. When buying a muffler the shorter the muffler the louder, the longer the muffler the quieter.Hope this helped.
Q: How much will it be to put 24s on my ford crown victoria?
because my uncle told me that it will be really expensive to fix up a Ford Crown Victoria and that rims should cost around $2,000 (US DOLLARS) so can you guys kind of help me on finding a good price? RIMS SITES?
A: First off, there is no such thing as rims. They are called wheels. Go to Discount Tire Company, they have a large selection. And do not put oversized wheels and tires on your car, it looks stupid, and you are altering the OEM suspension geometry, and it will be unsafe to drive. Trust me, I see idiots everyday who put $5,000 worth of ridiculous looking wheels and tires on a $600 dollar car, and then wonder why they lost control on a wet street and totaled it out. Yes, deck your Vic out in some nice looking sets, but keep the sizes original, you will be glad you did.
Q: Is it possible to put a engine (+ transmission) from a Ford Crown Victoria into a Ford Contour?
Ford Crown Victoria specs:
2005
V8 4.6 litter
(body and frame completely trashed but engine works great)
Ford Contour specs:
2000
Has transmission in it still but engine is gone. Could I use the transmission already in there with the Crown Victoria engine?
(body in near perfect shape)
and I’d assume the Contour will really fly because its so light with a such powerful engine if swap is possible?
A: not really, you would have to build a full frame under it and convert it to rear wheel drive..
Q: What Ford CD player would work for my 2003 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor?
I tried a regular 2003 Ford Crown Victoria (non-police interceptor) CD/Cassette player and it would not fit the wire harness plug.
A: The police models did not come with CD players as optional equipment. One will have to go aftermarket.
Q: Why Ford Crown Victoria slide and skid in the rain?
I was just wondering why Ford Crown Victoria have terrible traction and grips on the rain.
Is it because the car is RWD and tires and the weight of the car cause the skid?
I drove this car couple times and I felt this car is unstable to drive in the rain.
A: It’s a heavy car with skinny tires. And mine had no ABS, so if I hit the brakes in the rain, it was almost guaranteed to slide. Newton’s laws come in to play here. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force (like a brick wall or another car) is applied to it. Ford Crown Victorias are the poster cars for this law. The fact that they are as heavy as they are only aggravates this. In order for a Crown Victoria to handle better, it needs, among other things, much wider tires and much stiffer suspension.

Q: How do you know if you have a steering rack problem? ford 2003 crown Victoria police interceptor?
I have 2003 ford crown victoria and the steering is getting tighter and tighter. it is not easy like before. My local mechanic advised me to change the steering rack what do you advise”
A: Go to a shop that does power steering flushing and have that done first because the rack usually goes bad because the fluid got dirty!!! AND flushing is less than 100 dollars and it will at least keep the dirty fluid from messing up the pump even if you do need to change the rack later
