Do you think they will ever make a Nissan Maxima hybrid version? The Maxima’s my favorite car, but I always preferred cars with high city/highway mileage.
A: they will not. first of all it uses the 2.5 engine not the 3.5 like the maxima.. you will probably see a hydrogen car before any other nissan hybrids.. the whole hybrid system is a toyota system. i was told by nissan “higher up” that government basically forced them to sell somesort of hybrid hence toyota powerplant

A: being an owner of an 06 i will say that the max is the best way 2 go, yea u could get an altima 3.5 v6 but the max is better it as better features, its more spacious. i got mine fully loaded and with the extended warranty its not a bad price ill say. the altima coupe is fire tho ill say that. go with the max, ull love it

A: Open your hood and locate the back of your headlamp. Thereon is a twist connector. Twist it loose counter clockwise and don’t drop it. Pull the lamp socket back and replace the lamp.

A: Personally I’d check with the/a dealership part/mantience dept….we once went to an independent to install one and a few months later had issues with starting, alarm…. just to name a few….. we just ended up disconnecting the remote

A: Go to your local auto parts store and they should have a haynes or chilton repair manual that will describe and show you everything you will like to do to your vehicle.

You would probably be happy with 17X7.5 which would cost you about $800.
Just make sure your getting the wheels with tires mounted and balanced. That way you (or one of your friends) can put them on for you and all you will need is an alignment

A: No steps, no timing belt. The Max like all late-model Nissan’s uses a Timing Chain, not a belt which never has to be serviced.

I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima. Recently I have been having some electrical issues. Sometimes, when I start the car, the speedometer, odometer, A/C, Windows, directionals and heated seats do not have power. However, I will still have power going to my radio, brake lights, head lights, windshield wipers, dash lights, etc. However, after the car runs for a few minutes everything will start working again all at once, and will work fine until I turn the car off and start it up again. Any clue why this may be happening.
A: check the ignition switch connections, then find the fuse,s that operate the failing items , remove them and check holder,s clean the engine earth strap these checks are really as far as you can go , you may well need the auto sparks on this one
Q: 2000 nissan maxima factory security system how to bypass to get pulse to injectors?
i have a 2000 nissan maxima that has no injector pulse, while i disconnected the batteries i accidently touched them together and the pulse to the injectors was lost and hence no start condition began. what can i do to remedy this problem i suspect the security system is the culprit. but not sure. please help need input. i also have a good used computer that i can put in but i want to be sure that it ok to do so.
i touched the disconnected cable ends together. not while connected to the battery.
A: Sounds like you fried something. Not quite sure how you “touched what? toghther”, but if you screwed up and put 24 volts into the system then ouch (maybe) Ok to put in used computer? The car won’t run, so what have you got to lose. OK, just thought of something. Maybe you “reset” the autotune parameters on the computer, and they need to be reset to a factory default. Not sure how you would do that, but maybe something worth looking into.

They don’t have information on the Nissan website yet so I was just wondering if anyone has heard any rumors. Nissan says they are going to release them in June 2008 which is next month but I just want to know all the information available now. I have always been a fan of the Maxima and LOVE the new model. A: Maxima moves more up scale so prices will move also. Inflation is happening so the sooner you purchase one the better. But how are we going to put in $5 a gallon gasoline? remember Maxima uses premium fuel. nissanUSA.com
Q: Can i use the performance parts from the nissan 350z on my 2009 nissan maxima?
There are NO performance parts on the market for the 2009 Nissan Maxima. So, since they both share the exact same engine. Can i use the more common 350Z upgrade parts on the Maxima?
A: If the cars really have the same engine, I’d imagine that the Maxima has a detuned version. I’m not positive but I’d be willing to bet that the Z has hotter cams, high compression, and better flowing induction system. Maybe you can can upgrade some of those components but seriously ask yourself, is it worth it?
Why would you buy a brand new front wheel drive Maxima and try to mod it? This car simply isn’t designed for performance like the Z is, and chances are you will void your warranty with any performance mods. If I was you, I’d sell this car and buy a used infiniti G35 if you want better performance and still room for 4 people.

It is having problems shifting from 2 to 3rd, or 2nd to overdrive. It boggs down like it wants to die.
A: Most often besides the electronic valves the wear on the clutches will be made worse by draining and refilling the gear box. I have worked a long time on Nissan transmissions partial rebuilds mean more trouble just waiting a few weeks months down the road. Remanufactured Nissan Transmission new Radator a couple axles and you will have a lasting repair. Good Luck

A: pretty easy, facing car to left of master cylinder on firewall, 2 phillips hose clamps hold filter on should take 10-15 minutes to do, reccomend nissan factory fuel filter too.
